Space Shuttle Experience 

Camp Ocean | Carnival Jubilee

 

Stepping inside a spacecraft was the inspiration behind this interactive feature wall for Camp Ocean aboard Carnival Jubilee. Created as part of the Space Cruisers™ program in partnership with Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the goal was to immerse children in the experience of piloting their own mission while learning through NASA-inspired educational content.

I developed multiple design concepts, exploring different cockpit layouts, control panels, lighting effects, and monitor integration to create an engaging hands-on environment. My vision was to transform the video display into the spacecraft's window, allowing children to look out into space while NASA educational videos enhanced the illusion of flight and encouraged curiosity about the universe. As the design evolved, the interactive elements were refined into a streamlined experience that balanced imagination, functionality, and long-term durability.

The final installation transforms a section of Camp Ocean into an imaginative learning environment where children can step into the role of an astronaut and experience the excitement of space exploration.
